DUTIES: The A/V/IT Specialist works on a team in the Advanced Learning Technologies Centre to manage the Audio-visual/ multi-media studio needs. Duties include setting up audio and video recording equipment (possible off-site setup), mentoring faculty/staff on how to use AV/IT equipment, scheduling audio and video recording sessions, post-production (capture, audio-video edit, mixing, color correction, sound equalization), exporting to a variety of digital media in a variety of codecs, and archiving finished products. Materials to be produced are educationally-relevant learning objects, sound recordings for testing, instructional videos, and web/mobile applications. QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must be proficient using Apple Mac computers and video and audio production software for the Mac. Professional experience in the fields of documentary/commercial/educational video is an asset (note: music video experience not required). The successful candidate will have a Diploma/Degree in Audio-Visual or Multimedia Production, or two years professional A/V work experience, with excellent ability in post-production and preparing materials for multiple platforms (PC/Mac, Web, mobile devices, iPad, etc.). NOTE: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the State of Qatar visa process.
