Respond By: October 19, 2011 Length: Approximately 172 workdays Responsibilities & Deliverables: The successful supplier will directly report to the Manager, Information Management Strategy Unit, Research and Planning Branch of the client's organization, and will be primarily responsible for performing the following activities and producing key business analysis tasks including but not limited to: * Business Requirements Analysis and Documentation: ~ Coordinating activities and consulting with clients to gather business requirements in the design, development, implementation and maintenance/enhancement of systems; ~ Translating and mapping user requirements into business specifications and prototypes (i.e. reports, cubes and data marts), performing analysis of business needs and documentation; ~ Coordinating with key business/IT resources for the design and development of Business Solutions documents, Functional and Technical specifications; ~ Performing data analysis, documenting details of existing systems and reports, conducting investigation, identify problems and opportunities and provide recommendations for system/collection improvements based on the study of the current system design, specifications, data models/diagrams and metadata; ~ Coordinating with clients and conducting research, gap analysis, evaluation and create recommendation report(s) on amendments for specific business components; * Business Definitions and Metadata Development: ~ Coordinating with clients to gather and document information for the development of a business level data dictionary including a glossary, business metadata, business guidelines/rules, statements of data inclusion/exclusion in reports, cubes and data marts; ~ Developing a detailed gap analysis of all the data/terms used between different data sources across the client's organization with recommendations for solutions, including outstanding items of all aspects of information management, data consistency and reliability, particularly the reporting of operational data prior to loading into client's application; ~ Design and develop an end user training manual and support guide; * Data Planning Analysis: ~ Developing strategy and plan for enhancing data quality and integrity on the current data collections, storage and conversion processes for completeness, accuracy, appropriateness and to resolve any gaps; ~ Design and development of an automation strategy, procedures, scripts and tools for manipulating and mapping comprehensive postsecondary business data sets/reports to conform with the technical data extract file specifications; ~ Conduct research and produce document on data sources, information and reporting standards; ~ Supporting planning and procurement of new data acquisitions; * Integration and Testing: ~ Coordinating with business and IT to develop business strategies, test cases and test data for user acceptance testing (UAT) on system enhancements, BI analytical and decision-support products; ~ Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) on end user products and analytics (i.e. Cognos standard/ parameterized reports, data cubes, query studio) and document UAT results and findings. .aym6{position:absolute;clip:rect(397px,auto,auto,397px);} Apply here short term loans online

Mandatory: * Experience with business analysis to define business process, identify and develop requirements, and establish clear and achievable objectives; * Experience in business processes, qualitative and quantitative information analysis and methodologies; * Experience using structured techniques and tools for requirements gathering ,documentation and business analysis; * Expertise in SQL, databases and development of macros (i.e. excel, access, etc); * Experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, MS Project, MS SQL Server; * Experience in communicating with senior management, stakeholders, steering committees, and user groups. In particular, providing briefings, status reports, presentations, and approval requests; * Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with client organizations, IT resources and a team player with a track record for meeting strict deadlines; * Demonstrated analytical, complex business and IT problem-solving and decision-making skills; * Experience in project management/ business analysis of web based applications is an asset; * Experience with Business Intelligence tools (i.e. Cognos Data Cubes, Query Studio, ReportNet), techniques and procedures is an asset; * Ability and flexibility to perform other related tasks assigned by the manager. .aym6{position:absolute;clip:rect(397px,auto,auto,397px);} Apply here short term loans online
