The head of Privacy & Security Compliance has the oversight and accountability for monitoring and oversight of privacy and security compliance. This official is responsible for providing information regarding any matters covered by the Privacy notice. The head of Privacy & Security Compliance has accountability and oversight for the design, development and oversight of the Company’s policies and procedures covering the privacy of and access to protected information, as well as how data is protected within the enterprises & information systems. Head of Privacy & Security Compliance They include but are not limited to the following: - Serve in a leadership role for development and implementation of privacy policies, procedures and practices for the covered entity as required by law - Maintain current knowledge of applicable privacy laws and monitor advancements in privacy requirements to facilitate organizational compliance - Evaluate the effectiveness of security controls, processes and tools across technical environments - Participate in the ongoing monitoring for compliance of privacy and security related policies and procedures - Work with privacy and security officials within their delegated entities, third party vendors/administrators, joint ventures and subsidiaries to mature our ability to manage privacy and security across our extended enterprise - Facilitate workforce compliance with privacy practices through robust training and effective communication and promote consistent application of sanctions for failure to comply with privacy policies for all individuals in the organization & workforce - Participate as key member of a cross-functional incident response team to address incidents in a timely manner including IT breaches and / or threats, report them to the Director of Managed Services and develop remediation actions to prevent issues from reoccurring Job Requirements for Senior Director, Privacy & Security Compliance - Bachelor's degree - 7 or more years of compliance, privacy or security work experience including 5 or more years of direct management or leadership experience in the IT industry (ideally, web based business(es)) - Current knowledge of relevant privacy and security laws and regulations - Knowledge PCI (Payment Card Industry), eTrust, et cetera.. - Experience with strategy decision-making for organizations around information and data risks relating to privacy, security and system related process failures - Knowledge and understanding of the legal requirements relating to privacy, technology, security and compliance issues - Extensive involvement in problem solving and managing communications and recommendations - Excellent communication/analytical/project management and decision making skills - Able to provide leadership across a large, multi-dimensional organization - Demonstrated effectiveness operating in complex organizational environments - Extensive knowledge of information security concepts, practices and tools - Extensive knowledge of risk assessment strategies and technology audit practices - Demonstrated ability to provide innovative and compliant solutions to new business initiatives - High professional and ethical standards - Highest level of integrity and honesty Preferred Skills for the Head Privacy & Security Compliance - Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) - Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) designation - Current knowledge of information security standards - Training in business improvement and project management (e.g., Six Sigma training) - Strong exposure to Databse / Datawarehouse related initiatives - Strong exposure to Infrastructure related initiatives - ITIL - Publications in area of privacy and security... would be impressive.
