The Project Delivery Analyst is accountable for transforming the Annual Budget from Hyperion into the Annual Program Plan for Operational and Engineering Groups by planning and aligning work to achieve corporate goals. Taking a Macro approach to Stewardship of the Program Plan, the Project Delivery Analyst, will monitor, analyze and evaluate execution of the plan to ensure compliance and report accordingly with recommendations on identified issues. The Analyst guides the planning process through fluctuating levels of resource availability, system priority influences, as well as customer expectations. Status reports and forecasts are produced with recommendations to management as to what actions are required to achieve targets. Reporting to the Transmission Portfolio Manager the Analyst is accountable for, but not limited to: ? Creating and maintaining the program plan and identifying any resource allocation issues, potential conflicts or delays and making recommendations to address them. ? Ensuring Engineering and Field plans are in sync so projects are completed as planned. Meshed with this are the forced changes to the plan that are initiated by higher priority, time sensitive issues. Plans are in a constant flux during the process and it is the Analyst?s responsibility to analyze the situation, adjust the plan accordingly, showing effects with forecasts and making recommendations. ? Analyzing the volume of ?ready to schedule? work and date sensitive jobs to insure a smooth transition from Engineering to Field. ? Maintaining a sufficient lead time to achieve target dates. ? Recommending corrective actions to the Manager for non-compliance issues. ? Conducting data mining and providing analysis of data found in the Work and Project Management systems. ? Creating metrics type reports to monitor adherence to the Project targets. ? Maintaining process to support monthly progress and variance reporting for effort, cost, scope and schedule. ? Ensuring delivery of optimal results against goals and targets defined in the D&T Journey book. ? Acting as a back-up for Project Support Analyst and relieving in Managers position when required. ? Identifying carryover work from one year to the next and completing the process of amalgamating old projects and new projects. ? Communicating priorities, changes, progress and issues with the Program Plan to Foreman, Schedulers and Managers. ? Providing business level support for information systems used in D&T for project management (e.g. OTL, Oracle Projects, Oracle BI tools, MS-Project, IVARA and SharePoint. ? Marketing and promoting use of the Project and Work Management methods, practices and guidelines within D&T. ? The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications: o IT related 2-year Post-Secondary Diploma or 4-year Degree program or Professional Engineer (PEng)/Project Manager (PMP) with IT experience. o 4-6 years directly related experience. o Knowledge of Project Management practices as defined in the PMI: Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). o Demonstrated capability and expert working knowledge in project management, planning and scheduling software. o Strong knowledge in working with complex information systems for example, Oracle Projects, MS-Project, IVARA etc. o Demonstrated ability to plan and schedule and organize projects. o Strong understanding of EPCOR?s processes & systems for capital accounting, procurement, work and project management. o Demonstrated strong IT analytical skills for both qualitative and quantitative values. o Proven capability to analyze issues chose the correct tools, solve problems and make effective decisions. o Demonstrated ability to apply Business analyst skills to determine the customer?s goals and develop the appropriate requirements and processes to support achieving these goals. o Proven skill with training end users and preparing written communications and reference documentation.
