Responsibilities: The candidate will take a lead role in designing, building, and maintaining data warehouse and business support applications. This would include but will not be limited to making, documenting and presenting recommendations with respect to software solutions including system design and architecture, reporting solutions and options, Extraction Transformation Loading (ETL) process creation, scheduler design and development, and database design and implementations, with an emphasis on efficiency, scalability and re-usability. This individual should also have a clear understanding of meta data repositories, and to be able to refine them through tools in order to capture and/or preserve key enterprise data. The candidate will also work with other team members to develop, test and implement the software solutions involved in and surrounding Business Support Services. There may be other related tasks to be performed as required. Knowledge Requirements: ? At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing and developing large-scale enterprise software solutions ? At least 3+ years recent hands-on experience developing database schema designs and tools ? Strong hands-on experience with creating data models ? Strong documentation and communication skills ? Strong knowledge of Business Intelligence concepts and design ? Experience with meta data repositories is a big plus ? Technical Experience: ? 4+ years? experience as an senior software developer ? 6+ years? experience in multiple programming languages (e.g. Java, Perl, PHP, etc.) ? 3+ years? experience of database design in major Relational Data Management Systems (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, Informix/DB2, Oracle, etc.) ? Knowledge of formal data modelling methodologies ? Ability to develop design documentation including source/target mapping and data dictionary information ? Ability to design mappings for data capture, staging, cleansing, transforming, auditing, and auditing ? Ability to perform data quality analysis, gather information to determine data sources, data targets, data definitions, data relationships, document business rules, and develop data quality metrics ? 3+ years of experience of working with XML and HTML Required Programming Skills: ? Java and Perl, PHP, shell scripting ? SQL, Trigger and Stored procedure programming Optional Programming Skills: ? Large-Scale (Terabytes) data sensitivity and handling ?
