Our client, a leader in the green power space, has an immediate opening for an expert Embedded C developer to augment their new product development efforts on a contract basis. As an experienced embedded software/firmware engineer you will be given standalone projects and expected to work independently with minimal supervision as you specify, design, develop, integrate, test and debug your work. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING - Architect optimized modular software for efficiency and maintainability - Integrate and test integration of internal and third party software modules - Debug software on target using debuggers and/or emulators - Validate software on host, on target and in vehicle using in house or external tools - Write and update support applications/scripts and macros to aid in the development process - Report project progress, issues and risks and provide effort estimates, feasibility reports and soundness levels on projects/work packages to supervisor - Write clear and concise technical documents including requirements, technical reports, design specifications using in house or external tools - Manage and plan individual workload .auf{position:absolute;clip:rect(475px,auto,auto,475px);} small payday loans and secure !

- Expert skill level in embedded C software development with a minimum of nine years related experience in embedded development/firmware - Good to expert skill level in one further high level language (C++, Java etc.) and good skill level in Assembler - Extensive experience of the full product life cycle and associated best practices - As an Agile environment where regular scrums are the norm, previous experience building modular software to short deadlines is an asset - Substantial experience testing software including knowledge of different methodologies and the use of third party tools - Experience working with MicroOS or a similar real-time-operating system (RTOS) - Experience with microprocessors from vendors such as Atmel, Infineon, Renesas (preferred) - Solid experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python and/or Shell - Strong background configuration management, defect tracking and change control - Excellent communication skills both verbal and written - Post-secondary degree in math, engineering or computer science .auf{position:absolute;clip:rect(475px,auto,auto,475px);} small payday loans and secure !
