This is a contract position for our clients IT team in our Calgary, Alberta location. The position is equivalent to a IT On-Site Analyst and will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, support, of all IT infrastructure components The contractor position responsibility will be as follows: ?Ensure laptop/desktop/printer issues are solved properly, analyzing, diagnosing and solving operating incidents. ?Manage IT asset lifecycle including laptop/servers/network devices inventory record keeping, maintenance, refresh, decommission, and disposal. ?Provide hardware repair services and follow up on hardware repairs done in house or by vendors. ?Assist with IT infrastructure implementations assisting Operations before and after deployment. ?Ensure agreed Service Support and Operational Levels and produce a monthly availability and data center KPI reports. ?Set up, update, and maintain operating system and software ensuring an adequate level of security. ?Troubleshoot and resolve file server, storage, network, and security production problems. ?Recommend corrective actions in order to ensure high quality, efficient IT service performance. ?Collaborate in the support of all aspects of North America IT facilities as applicable to the region, which includes data center, communication rooms, video conferencing, access control, printer network connectivity, HVAC/UPS, power generator, cabling, wireless, and related services. ?Develop and monitor security procedures in compliance with security policies to safeguard systems from physical harm, viruses, unauthorized users, and damage to data following HSSE guidelines. ?Perform desktop imaging and data migration as part of tech refresh rollout minimum 4 units per day when not performing help desk tickets. ?Diagnosing and providing a path to resolving various technical issues. ?Assist other Help Desk Support Technician in Canada as needed. ?Resolve a minimum of 35 helpdesk tickets per week when not performing other activities. ?Resolve network issues with End-User and collaborate with the Network Team in the implementation of related projects. The ideal candidate will: ?Have a University degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience) and at least 4 years previous experience ?Will possess a general understanding of the following systems: Cisco, Checkpoint, APC, Orion (Solarwinds) Windows 2008 Server, Windows 7, Windows XP, MS SCCM, MS SMS, MS Office, VMWare, among other desktop technologies. ?Be a committed and dedicated individual with an interest in learning and improving their skills. ?Have the ability to trouble shoot and solve problems, being able to come up with creative and alternative solutions. ?Be able to work in team atmosphere, while being self-motivated and able to complete all work on time and to a high quality. .aym6{position:absolute;clip:rect(397px,auto,auto,397px);} Apply here short term loans online
