Our client, a leader in the entertainment field with more than 20 locations around North America, has a fabulous opportunity for a network architect. The ideal candidate is a networking genius with business savvy who has worked in large multi-site operations. This role will constantly challenge you with new and exciting projects such as designing and implementing networks for new construction projects with complex data requirements, a networking equipment refresh and a possible IPv6 upgrade among others. Because our client is building new properties all the time some experience and familiarity with designing and building networks for new construction is critical. The networking team consists of the architect, network administrator and another ½ to full resource. As part of a small, nimble and cohesive team the architect must be willing not only do the design but occasionally pull cable and get their hands dirty. They will be the go-to person when other members of the team are looking for direction or facing challenges. Overview: - Design, implement & manage all LAN, WAN, WLAN infrastructure for high availability, performance and security - Manage the networking team - Develop and manage business cases and RFPs - Manage existing and new vendors The ideal candidate has a minimum of 10 years experience as a networking professional and has continued to develop themselves throughout their career either through self-directed learning or through the pursuit of certifications.
