Title: Database Administrator Status : Full Time Location : Mississauga, ON Start Date : ASAP Job Description SUMMARY: Focuses on all aspects of database administration and support of applications related to RDMS and related application infrastructure. The database administrator will need to have specific details on operation of the application and its interaction with the RDMS. The database administrator will be working in collaboration with the database administration team in Mississauga   JOB DUTIES: - Provide regional/global database support for all engineering applications - Troubleshooting application problems related to database or application infrastructure - Plan and coordinate data migration between systems and provide integration assistance within the applications - Monitor database system details within the database, including database objects, and recommend efficiency improvement - Respond to and resolve database access and performance related issues - Coordinate and implement data replication based on project requirements - Ensure all database maintenance and utilities operate to achieve flawless execution of database and related applications - Liaise with and global DBA and IT team members - Work closely with database technology and contribute to develop and improve strategies and standards, guidelines, and procedures of the MS SQL Server and Oracle databases in a junior to intermediate capacity - Assist global database administrator to contribute and implement established database standards and procedures - Follow change control and testing processes for modifications to databases in a junior to intermediate capacity - Create, or support creation of, required reports in response to database business users needs - Establish appropriate end-user database access control To Apply for this position, please CLICK HERE .auf{position:absolute;clip:rect(475px,auto,auto,475px);} small payday loans and secure !

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Essential: - College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and 3-5 years work experience in this role are a must -         3-5 years with MS SQL Server (SQL 2005 and SQL 2008) and 1-2 years of Oracle (Oracle 10g and Oracle 11g Windows) are required - Knowledge and experience with engineering applications (Intergraph, Bentley) is a definite asset - Ability to work well in fact-paced, changing environment and able to manage multiple tasks, projects, and initiatives all with different priorities at the same time - Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles and practices - Able to attend meetings/conference calls outside normal business hours - Strong technical documentation skills - Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language - Highly self-motivated - Keen attention to detail - Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem solving environment - Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must - Good communication and interpersonal - Ability to work in a matrix structure   Desirable - Holds technical certification (Oracle and MS SQL Server) .auf{position:absolute;clip:rect(475px,auto,auto,475px);} small payday loans and secure !
