OPPORTUNITY We currently have an immediate opportunity for a full-time Mobile Application Developer to join our IT Department. Working closely with the management team and reporting to the Director, - IT & Operations, you will develop mobile applications for Blackberry, Android, Playbook, Windows Phone, iPhone and iPad. TASKS ? Full cycle of mobile web application development including designing, coding, performance testing and security testing ? Working with development team to understand business logic and gather business requirements for applications ? Create client applications based on the following platforms; Apple iOS, Android, Blackberry, or Windows phone ? Create client applications using the devices native language; Java, Objective C and etc ? Create mobile modules to be connected to an in house server and transmitted to mobile devices ? Modules created should auto update programs and information for the end user ? REQUIREMENTS ? Applicants must have 2+ years of experience developing mobile applications ? Must be have previous experience creating Blackberry applications ? Strong preference given to those with Android application experience ? Experience with Apple applications is an asset ? Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience ? Experience with Java is required ? Experience with Objective C is an asset ? Experience with web services is required ? Experience with SQL Server, C#, VB.NET would be assets ? Capable of developing in at least two of the following platforms; Apple iOS, Android, Blackberry, or Windows phone ? Thorough understanding of Object Oriented Design (OOD) principles is required ? Ability to gather requirements and develop effective integrated application design ? Effective communication skills are essential ?
