Powerex Corp., the wholly owned energy marketing subsidiary of BC Hydro, has a full-time regular opportunity for a Business Solutions Delivery Manager to join our IT Team. The Business Solutions Delivery Manager will be the principle point of responsibility for delivery of applications and IT portfolio management for Powerex' Mid Office, Back Office and Shared Services (MBOSS) business groups. Powerex's MBOSS business groups include Risk & Credit Management, Finance, Legal and Compliance, and Human Resources. DUTIES: The successful candidate: - Manages the relationship and ongoing dialogue with the business groups concerning the state and evolution of their business applications - Manages the delivery of the MBOSS IT application portfolio - Manages the selection and/or development of applications, including the analysis of business requirements, design work, code and product configuration changes, testing and deployment, releasing new functionality to business applications, and sustainment work to maintain the functionality of the applications as designed - Is accountable for the processes and procedures used to manage the application life cycle, from code design to decommissioning - Provides expert level support on the applications - Manages a team of Analysts, Development, Sustainment and QA resources, Project Managers and Project Coordinators, as and when required - Manages relationships with the MBOSS application vendors - Works with the other IT Managers in providing a common set of tools required to deliver the defined scope, including application database management systems, application performance and functional testing tools, and various management, business process, and modeling tools. .aioe{position:absolute;clip:rect(471px,auto,auto,471px);} Apply here payday loans

QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will have: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer/software engineering, management information systems, or equivalent combination of education/experience - Minimum 10 years of IT experience; preference given to those who have direct business application delivery experience, including a minimum of five years in leading and developing successful teams, and building and sustaining relationships with vendors - Excellent leadership, interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, and communication skills - Ability to stay organized when faced with multiple tasks, tight deadlines, and changing priorities - Ability to rely on experience and judgment, in combination with proven organization and prioritizing skills, to plan and accomplish goals and deliver solutions to meet the goals of the business - Ability to be a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic work environment and has a demonstrated attitude and ethics toward customer service, accountability, ingenuity, integrity, safety and teamwork - Experience and/or courses related to the energy markets are desirable but not essential.
