We are looking for talented, ambitious, and results-driven individual for Avvasi?s IT contract opportunity. This is a 4-month contract position, for 2 to 3 days per week. Avvasi?s Xperium platform is a scalable, carrier-grade platform for mobile video analytics and optimization planning services. It analyzes streaming media traffic in aggregate for large IP networks. The platform is a highly-available, managed, upgradable bladed system that houses a large amount of computing capacity. Avvasi?s software is architected to be high-performance, fault-tolerant, and linearly scalable. Some of the specific responsibilities of this contract opportunity include: * Capture user requirements for reports or customizations across several applications including the ERP, Issue Tracking, Time Tracking and Engineering Software * Undertake development of business requirements in conjunction with the other teams * Conduct/facilitate system and functional testing, as well as User Acceptance Testing across various business applications * Develop means of integrating key business applications * Maintain all documentation pertaining to system changes * Undertake system upgrades and patches for our applications * Provide support to users on the various applications on a daily basis * Assist with ERP system implementation and upgrade tasks * Develop additional ERP-related software, both internal and external to the ERP system * Load and update data as needed for conversions, business processes, and mass data modifications * Install and test software patches and upgrades * Assist in strategic development of future ERP planning Your level of responsibility will be shaped by your abilities, drive, and ambition. Requirements: The candidate should have demonstrated experience in the analysis of business systems and application development to meet the needs of the company?s business applications and related systems. Specific technology expertise for the role includes: * Three or more years programming experience on an ERP system * Five or more years programming and software application development experience * High development experience and proficiency in multiple programming languages * C# or Java development experience preferred * Previous ERP experience required * Prior experience in a support role of an ERP system a plus, such as Epicor software * Ability to learn new programming languages and systems unassisted * Experience with databases such as SQL Server and Oracle * Experience integrating software into complex databases * Preferred experience with other databases, such as MySQL and PostgreSQL * Preferred experience with PL/SQL or other procedural or transactional SQL languages * Experience working with customers to design programming requirements that work with industry best practices * Experience developing and configuring software to manage finance / inventory / manufacturing / logistics / operations / customer service * Ability write database queries and integrate these into programming * Experience with upgrades, patches, and maintenance of ERP systems * Strong command of OOP fundamentals (e.g. familiar with design patterns) * Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications, and its integration with ERP systems * Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills * Ability to write specifications and to communicate with various departments * Ability to be forward-thinking and able to be a resource in strategic software planning * Ability to work in a team environment and communicate project status and manage customer relationships The candidate should also satisfy the following core requirements: * Highly organized, motivated, and execution-oriented * Must be a self-starter who is comfortable working in a highly technical environment * Demonstrated ability for continuous learning, creativity, and problem solving * Demonstrated strategic and tactical planning capabilities, as well as ability to prioritize * Excellent oral and written communication skills In addition to the above, the following competencies are highly desirable * Database administration experience * Administration of SQL Server 2008 databases * Other programming experience * Scripting experience (PHP, Perl, etc.) .aioe{position:absolute;clip:rect(471px,auto,auto,471px);} Apply here payday loans
