Analyst II, Distributed Services In a partnership effort developed by the Office of Research and Computing and Communication Services (CCS), we are looking for an experienced analyst with a broad range of IT skills, who can communicate effectively across all levels of the department. The Analyst II, Distributed Services will report to the Manager, Services Support and Client Relations, in CCS, the central IT department on campus that provides IT infrastructure and central technology services to the University of Guelph community. As an integral part of a team of professionals, the Analyst II, Distributed Services will be responsible for investigating, developing and supporting specific IT programs and systems for the Office of Research. The Analyst II, Distributed Services will: ? collaborate with Office of Research staff to understand the business strategic direction of the department as well as the IT needs to support this direction ? contribute to the development of the IT strategy for the Office of Research, keeping in mind long-term sustainability, scalability and interoperability with other systems, and implement robust solutions to streamline Office business processes ? play a client-interfacing role that calls for a wide range of skills, including solid technical analysis, strong problem analysis, and database maintenance and administration ? provide training and support for web-based systems and databases that meet the specific needs of the Office of Research ? generate reports and extract information from Office of Research systems as required ? develop a strong understanding of the IT services provided by CCS, implement and support CCS Services provided to the Office of Research, and partner with CCS on these services. .auf{position:absolute;clip:rect(475px,auto,auto,475px);} small payday loans and secure !

To assume the role of Analyst II, Distributed Services, you must have: ? an undergraduate degree in Computing or a related field and several years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience ? a broad and developed range of IT skills, including advanced technical skills in ColdFusion, PHP, CSS, HTML, Java, J2EE, Contribute, Dot Net, Macromedia Studio MX Development, Cascading Style Sheets, Dreamweaver, PL-SQL and Oracle Forms ? a solid knowledge of Access, SQL Server and Oracle databases ? the ability to understand and utilize best practices in web development ? the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the department ? strong project planning and project execution skills.
