Job Title: Marketing Communications Manager - Construction Association Location: Mississauga Total Income: $70,000 Description: Are you looking to flex your marketing muscles, and take on an exciting challenge? We are looking for a creative, hard-working, self-directed Marketing Communication Manager to join a construction association. The association has been representing its membership for over 25 years, and is very well respected. The focus of your role is outreach and advocacy. You will be responsible for promoting the membership, the industry and dealing with on-going attacks from competitive industries. This requires excellent communication skills, and a keen sense of marketing communications both online and via the media. In the first year, your priorities include: 1.Review, document and recommend improvements to the marketing communications programs. This includes promotional materials, newsletters, websites, social media, media relations, trade shows and other forms of communication. 2.Assess the competitive landscape and work with the Board and Management team to develop a marketing communication strategy. 3.Establish a strong database (CRM) to improve association communications. 4.Develop digital marketing and social media communications strategy. The association has a wealth of research, reports and other information that could be delivered to a broader audience. You will be responsible for increasing their digital footprint. This is a diverse role with varied responsibilities. We are looking for a person that can be hands-on and strategic at the same time. You will be advising on marketing/communication strategies, and then responsible for implementing and executing them. The marketing budget for 2012 is $25k to $35k, and will require creativity and hard work to achieve your goals. The position offers a salary of $70,000 + vacation and benefits. Requirements: - 5+ years of B2B marketing experience ideally in construction, building products or industrial - Proven track record of leading and executing broad marketing communication programs - Excellent writing skills. A big part of the role includes creating content. - Excellent presentation skills. You will be expected to deliver presentations at local chapters, government agencies, and conferences. - Outgoing personality that connects well with people, and builds longterm relationships - Hands-on marketer with a strategic mind. You will advise on strategy, and be responsible for executing on it - Team player. You will be joining a close knit team of 4 paid staff plus working with an engaged membership. - Strong understanding of digital marketing, email campaigns, web analytics, and social media. - Ability to manage all aspects of a diverse corporate communications agenda.
