Responsible for design, development and maintenance of multiple domains of existing data and new data warehouses/data marts using current standards and industry best practices. Determine reporting requirements and take responsibility for developing/maintaining multiple domains Microsoft Access applications. Duties Liaising with business experts, data warehouse experts, DBA?s, data centre operations experts and other developers to design, develop and maintain multiple domains data warehouses and reporting environments. Review of documented requirements and additional information gathering as needed. Create/modify ETL?s (Extract, Transfer, Load) within the prescribed domains reporting module using OWB (Oracle Warehouse Builder) or similar ETL tools, while incorporating best practices in data warehousing. Documentation and use of StarTeam as the source code repository. Perform analysis of resulting data warehouses/data marts to ensure requirements are met. Assist business clients with test processes as needed. SQL Query performance tuning. Report development to meet business needs (using Discoverer/Cognos or similar report software). Support multiple ministries MS Access Applications as required. Mandatory Requirements: Developer with a minimum of 10 years working experience in Oracle. Developer with minimum of 3 years working with Data Warehouse concepts and ETL tools, creating complex mappings, dimensions and cubes using design/runtime tools that perform efficiently. Developer with minimum of 3 years working in report development. Developer with minimum of 3 years experience with PL/SQL, SQL, Toad, PL/SQL Developer, SQLPlus, and Unix scripting.
