About the Opportunities Foremost Universal LP (FULP) and Foremost Industries (FILP) requires several IT Specialists (Web Developer & Help Desk Technicians) to work in their Calgary and Lloyminster locations. These are excellent opportunities for suit self-starters who work well independently and as part of a team. Outstanding organizational, documentation and written/verbal communication skills are essential, as is a passion for technology. Web Developer - Calgary You will develop intranet websites, reports, tools and applications that support and enhance core business processes. This will involve: * Performing a variety of software development tasks; * Creating web parts to expand the use of SharePoint in the organization; * Creating reports using various delivery mechanisms such as Crystal, Excel and ASP.NET; * Providing onsite support for new and existing intranet sites; and * Working with SQL and Oracle Databases. In addition to a computer science degree/diploma, you are well equipped with working knowledge of, and experience with: * HTML, XML, ASP, JavaScript and PHP; * SharePoint and web part creations; * ASP.NET, C# or VB.NET; * IIS and Apache; and * SQL. Please note that a portfolio must be provided with your resume that shows both design creativity and coding capabilities. This must contain a list of all tools used to create the showcased website(s). Help Desk Technicians - Calgary or Lloydminster You will perform IT help desk services related to printer/software issues, and assist people with their use of information technology. You will also determine and document best practices for the integration of technology with the business and enhance your skills by learning about current and future server and networking technologies used at Foremost Universal LP. To ensure your success in this role, you must have experience troubleshooting Windows XP and Windows 7, and working with Windows Server 2003 and/or 2008. Proficiency with MS Office products and A+ certification, or experience with computer assembly, repair and networking is essential. Microsoft Certifications would be highly desirable but not required.
