The Distribution Portfolio Analyst is accountable for transforming the Annual Budget from Hyperion into the Annual Distribution Program Plan for Operational and Engineering Groups, planning and aligning work to achieve corporate goals. Taking a Macro approach to Stewardship of the Distribution Plan, the Distribution Portfolio Analyst, will monitor, analyze and evaluate execution of the plan to ensure compliance and report accordingly with recommendations on identified issues. The Analyst navigates the planning process through fluctuating levels of resource availability, system priority influences, as well as customer expectations. Status reports and forecasts are produced c/w recommendation to management as to what actions are required to achieve targets. Reporting to the Manager, Distribution Portfolio, the Analyst, Portfolio is accountable for, but not limited to: > Analyzing volume of "ready to schedule" work and date sensitive jobs to insure a smooth transition from Engineering to Field. > Recommending corrective actions to the Manager for non-compliance issues. > Conducting data mining and providing analysis of data found in the Work and Project Management systems. This includes: >>> Designing, building and running professional grade reports in Cognos, Oracle BI and other reporting tools >>> Creating pivots, queries and other analytical tools in Excel and MS-Access. > Creating metrics type reports to monitor adherence to the Project targets. > Maintaining process to support monthly progress and variance reporting for effort, cost, scope and schedule. > Ensuring delivery of optimal results against goals and targets defined in the D&T Journey book. > Acting as a back-up for Project Support Analyst and relieving in Managers position when required. > Providing project level support for information systems used in D&T for project management (e.g. OTL, Oracle Projects, Oracle BI tools, MS-Project, Ivara and SharePoint), which includes: >>> Developing and delivering training (class room and/or one on one) to end users, ensuring we achieve consistent use of tools to support our business processes. >>> Documenting manuals and quick reference cards and periodic "best practice" notices. >>> Setting-up Projects in Ivara >>> Developing supporting processes tools and techniques to enhance the usefulness and applicability of methodologies and guidelines. > Supporting the Distribution Portfolio Manager in preparing for and chairing the Distribution Planning Council and other such meetings, this includes items such as, creating reports, updating metrics and revising forecasts. .aioe{position:absolute;clip:rect(471px,auto,auto,471px);} Apply here payday loans

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications: > IT related 2-year Post-Secondary Diploma or 4-year Degree program or Professional Engineer (PEng)/Project Manager (PMP) with IT experience. > 4-6 years directly related experience. > Knowledge of Project Management practices as defined in the PMI: Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). > Demonstrated capability and expert working knowledge in project management, planning and scheduling software. > Strong knowledge in working with complex information systems.(e.g. Oracle Projects, MS-Project, etc.) > Demonstrated ability to plan and schedule and organize projects. > Strong understanding of EPCOR?s processes & systems for capital accounting, procurement, work and project management. > Demonstrated strong IT analytical skills for both qualitative and quantitative values. > Proven capability to analyze issues chose the correct tools, solve problems and make effective decisions. > Demonstrated ability to apply Business analyst skills to determine the customer?s goals and develop the appropriate requirements and processes to support achieving these goals. > Proven skill with training end users and preparing written communications and reference documentation.
