We are currently seeking a dynamic Senior Database Administrator with business analysis experience to join our team. The incumbent in this role will be part of a multifunctional technology team with exposure to cutting edge technology and tools. The individual who fills this role will be responsible for providing operational, data inquiry/analysis and architectural support for all database assets as well as maintaining performance, integrity and database security. This key role will directly interface with Business Intelligence, Marketing and Sales teams. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated history of liaising with internal customers, supporting business objectives and will possess strong communication skills. Responsibilities: Have overall responsibility for internal and customer facing database assets; Typical activities will involve installation, configuration, optimization as well as providing operational support Derive foundational requirements and participate in the development of new and enhancing existing data centric solutions across multiple business groups Lead root cause analysis for complex database incidents Develop and document standards and best practices for newly developed data centric solutions Provide database architectural support and consulting input to internal development resources Qualifications: Minimum 3 years in a database administrator role Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) Experience with Data Cubes Experience with OLAP Experience with XML Analysis (XMLA) Minimum 1 year in a business analyst or related role (an asset) Minimum 2 years of experience with Crystal Reports Minimum 2 years leveraging SQL Server Reporting Services (SQL Server versions 2005 & 2008) Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) designation (an asset) Experience working at the intersection of analysis and technology and be able to move between the two worlds seamlessly The ability to self-start with a readiness to experiment and take risks Superior interpersonal and communication skills Strong problem solving skills Demonstrated experience analyzing large volumes of data to identify patterns Detail oriented Flexible We Offer:Full benefits Vacation Additional perk If you qualify for this role, please apply now!
