Junior Technical Specialist Location: Cambridge, ON Company Description We are a fast paced information technology consulting company located in Cambridge, Ontario, that achieved a ranking of 142 on the Profit 200 list in 2012. We were also awarded the Waterloo Region Small Business of the Year in 2010. Our primary line of business is to design, implement, support and maintain our customers’ technology infrastructure. We are looking for an inspiring, motivated Junior Technical Specialist to join our team. This individual will be working out of our headquarters in Cambridge. This person will be responsible for providing first level remote and onsite support to the client’s end- users. Duties & Responsibilities Hardware Support Demonstrates competence with configuration tools Provides clear, understandable explanations Uses diagnostic tools efficiently and effectively Identifies, tests and implements logical solutions Demonstrates understanding of network architecture Monitors network performance Technical Support Responds promptly and courteously at all times Demonstrates product knowledge and expertise Asks questions and listens carefully Provides clear, understandable explanations Customer Satisfaction Develop and maintain documentation for environments Proactively suggest and implement best practices to improve quality of work, working process, and technology standards, including running regular project audits and post mortems Manage customer communication Desired Skills & Experience The ideal candidate will have: Certification and Education: Bachelor’s Degree, College Diploma or equivalent Experience: 3 Years of Windows 2003/2008 experience 3 Years of Exchange 2003/2010 experience 3 Years of hands-on deployments and management of networking gear Approach: Continuously learning Adaptable and flexible Multitasking and results orientated Innovative Organized and attention to detail Customer service orientated and has a positive attitude Excellent verbal and written communication skills This role offers a competitive salary, a bonus plan and a benefit plan.
