The ServiceNow System Administrator is responsible for the creation, customization, configuration and maintenance of UI and workflows in the ServiceNow ITSM platform. Responsibilities & Duties: ·       Assist in implementing new processes and applications in ServiceNow. This includes building ServiceNow workflows, customizing the ServiceNow user interface and in using JavaScript to create solutions when required. ·       Build technical specifications from functional specifications (provided by Business Analysts) and high-level design documents (provided by Architects). ·       Develop clear and concise technical documentation and be able to effectively communicate this knowledge to all team members. ·       Work with Quality Assurance analysts to quickly resolve issues that arise during the testing cycle. ·       Make design and functionality recommendations based on understanding of technical capabilities of ServiceNow. ·       Provide analysis and resolution for issues that arise during and following production deployment. ·       Apply sound release management and configuration management principles to ensure the stability of all environments. Education : Technical diploma or degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. Training : Experience with ITIL. Certification is not required. Experience : 5 - 7 + years experience in the IT/IS field, Experience with ITSM and ITIL. Previous development experience with JavaScript. Other : ServiceNow experience is an asset. Abilities Required: This position requires a self-starter with a meticulous attention to detail: someone who takes pride in getting the details correct and who takes personal responsibility for both individual and team results. Although you’re fanatical about getting the details correct you have no difficulty working collaboratively and cooperatively with others to achieve shared goals and objectives. You consider the wider team, function, and organization. You make decisions which support the success of those groups and take action based on those decisions. Skills Required: Experience with Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, etc.). JavaScript development experience. Experience with ITIL. Certification is not required but solid exposure/experience with ITSM software & processes is. Other Attributes: Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.
