The International Banking Systems (IBS) group provides and supports technology based solutions by creating, building, implementing and maintaining the various banking products and services offered to customers in Caribbean, Central and South America, and Asia Pacific through various delivery channels. The IBS-Credit department works in partnership with International banking business partners and peers in IBS and other systems divisions to deliver products and solutions that enable International Banking to meet its business objectives. This includes the support of the home grown Consumer Loans, Commercial Loans applications written in RPG400, the Branch Credit application written using Microsoft Web and J2EE based Web technologies, the interfaces to a middleware application (SOA and Broker), the Credit Card service provider FDR and Trans Union Credit Bureau.   This position is for the development, maintenance and support of the Consumer Loans, Commercial Loans and Credit Card applications running on the AS400 and the interfaces to the applications running on the MS Windows and AIX platforms. Accountabilities: ¬∑         Participate and provide technical leadership in the development, maintenance and support of the Consumer Loans, Commercial Loans and Credit Card applications. ¬∑         Assist in the final definition of user requirements. ¬∑         Analyse user requirements taking into consideration interfaces with other Banking Application systems, as well as hardware and software limitations and develop alternative options to satisfy the requirements. ¬∑         Participate and/or lead in the design, development, and testing activities within the AS400 and Microsoft web and J2EE based web development environment. ¬∑         Participate and/or lead in the preparation of design document, test plan, tests specifications and operations manuals. ¬∑         Participate in the evaluate of production logs and System Service Requests (SSRs) of high complexity and identifies actions to be taken to accomplish successful resolutions to problem logs and deployment of new enhancements to the field. ¬∑         Liaison with external vendors, product users, operations staff, technical support groups and other development teams in all phases of development project activities and production support activities. ¬∑         Provide production support to international data centres and branches including after hours pager support (when required) and occasional travel for release implementation and on site production support. ¬∑         Supervise associate/intermediate programmer analysts and onsite/offshore vendor resources as required.   Competencies :     Proficient in RPG/400, CLP, SQL and DB2/400     Working knowledge of AS400 platform, IBM MQ Series Messaging and MIMIX product.     Knowledge of MS Windows and AIX platforms would be an asset.     Knowledge of ASP.Net, ASP, Java and Java Script, XML, XSL, SQL Server would be an asset.     Self-starter, fast learner with positive attitude and team player.     Proven strong analytical and problem resolution skills.     Strong time management and organizational skills.     Strong verbal and written communication skills.     Good interpersonal and team liaison skills.     Knowledge of Banking products and systems, particularly in the area of Customer/ Business  Loans, and Credit Card applications.     Familiar with software development life cycle and methodology.     Proficient in MS Office family products.
