As a Senior Software Engineer, you bring incredible OO design and C++ skills that allow you to wade in and contribute to any part of the code base. You will apply your technical leadership to feature development as well as to evolving development practices which continually improve team productivity. You will play an active part in a team that exemplifies Agile. Essential Functions: • Design, implement and verify software systems or subsystems. • Deliver resilient, robust and durable designs. • Provide team and project technical leadership, including guidance and mentoring to more junior engineers. • Develop subject matter expertise in relevant storage and development technologies. • Foster collaborative working relationships within the team and with other groups across the company. • Lead and participate in technical discussions at all levels within the company. • Build plans, set priorities and drive results on near-term objectives as well as longer-term strategic goals. • Mastery of C++ and Object-Oriented development. • Experience in an Agile environment. • Creative and analytical approach to problem solving. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong influencing and leadership skills. • Strong aptitude for learning new technologies. • Experience with distributed systems, multithreading. Education & Experience: • A Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience, is required. • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. 10+ years preferred. • Bonus: Experience developing data storage systems.
