We are currently
seeking an IT
Implementation/Supp
ort Analyst for our
clients IT team in
Calgary, Alberta
location.
The position is
responsible for the
installation, layout,
monitoring, and
maintenance of all
network, security,
and IT infrastructure
components.
This is a 6 month
contract with a good
possibility of
extension or to be
hired permanently.
You will also be
responsible to:
• Desktop,
laptop, and printer
hardware diagnosis
and repair
• Desktop
imaging and data
migration as part of
DTS rollout minimum
4 units per day when
not performing help
desk tickets
• Diagnosing and
providing a path to
resolving various
technical issues
• Assist other
Help Desk Support
Technician as
needed
• Close I Resolve
a minimum of 35
helpdesk tickets per
week when not
performing desktop
services
• Resolve
network issues with
End-User and
collaborate with the
Network Team in the
implementation
related projects.
• Data Transfer
and Recovery
• Ensure IT
Issues are solved
properly, analyzing,
diagnosing and
solving operating
incidents.
• Manage IT
asset lifecycle
including
laptop/servers/netw
ork devices
inventory record
keeping,
maintenance,
refresh,
decommission, and
disposal.
• Provide
hardware repair
services and follow
up on hardware
repairs done in
house or by vendors.
• Set up,
update, and maintain
operating system
and software
ensuring an
adequate level of
security.
• Troubleshoot
and resolve server,
storage, network,
and security
production problems.
• Plan, test,
recommend, and
implement network
and security
hardware and
software.
• Install,
configure and
maintain network
and security
components.
• Recommend
corrective actions in
order to ensure high
quality, efficient IT
service performance.
• Assist in the
support of all
aspects of North
American IT facilities
as applicable to the
region, which
includes data
center,
communication
rooms, video
conferencing,
access control,
printer network
connectivity,
HVAC/UPS, power
generator, cabling,
wireless, and related
services.
The ideal candidate
will:
• Have a
University degree in
Computer Science,
and at least 4 years
previous experience
• Will possess an
understanding of the
following systems
and programs Cisco,
Checkpoint, APC,
Orion (Solarwinds),
RADIUS, HP UX,
Oracle, Windows
2008 Server,
Windows 7, Windows
XP, MS SCCM, MS
Office, VMWare,
EMC
• Be a
committed and
dedicated individual
with an interest in
learning and
improving their skills
• Have the
ability to trouble
shoot and solve
problems, being able
to come up with
creative and
alternative solutions
• Be able to
work in team
atmosphere, while
being self-motivated
and able to complete
all work on time and
to a high quality.
