Channel Sales
Representative
Location: Toronto,
Ontario

Summary
Reporting to the
Director, Channel
Management, the
Channel Sales
Representative will
be responsible for
recruiting new
channel partners and
supporting the sales
effort of existing
channel partners
across North
America for our new
Information
Assurance Portal
service.
Developed to be sold
through the channel,
OneStone is a cloud-
based information
security service that
provides
organizations with
24x7 visibility into
security issues and
risks across the
enterprise. Using our
organization’s
advanced security
information and
event management
technology,
OneStone enables
customers to select
various services,
including threat and
vulnerability
management, asset
classification and
tracking, and
business threat and
risk assessment—
through a software-
as-a-service portal.
The Channel Sales
Representative will
be primarily focused
on developing and
servicing channel
partners in the
Eastern Canadian
(primarily Ontario)
and the
Northeastern U.S.
(NY, NJ, PA, and
MA) markets.
Preference will be
given to qualified
candidates residing
in or near this
market area.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver
a sales plan to
recruit new channel
partners from
targeted sectors,
including
telecommunications
carriers, managed
service providers,
systems integrators,
and information
technology resellers.
Through the
channel, focus on
developing
customers in the
target market
profile. Understand
the target markets,
and provide a
compelling reason to
buy—by positioning
our company and
OneStone value
proposition and
service solution to
the customer.
Initiate and
participate in joint
sales calls with key
channel partners to
successfully sell to
end customers in the
key target market
profile.
Provide assistance
with presentations,
demonstrations,
pricing, and
proposals to channel
partners.
Mentor and coach
channel partner
sales teams on the
value proposition—
qualifying and
scoping
opportunities and
sales approach for
selling OneStone and
our other information
security services.
Attend industry and
channel partner
trade events to
promote our services
to prospective
partners and end
customers.
Provide input and
feedback to our
Marketing group
regarding sales
material, sales and
marketing
campaigns, events,
and other
promotional
activities to ensure
successful alignment
with customer and
partner
requirements.
Successfully manage
an assigned sales
territory and quota;
report on related
sales activities
weekly.
Required
Qualifications
5+ years of
successful sales and
account
management
experience in
security, IT, or
telecommunications
sector—preferably in
a channel sales role
University
degree/diploma or
equivalent
Ability to consult
with channel
partners and
customers at a
business level—
listening, translating,
and communicating
strategic
opportunities into
requirements while
building rapport
Ability to plan,
coordinate, and
monitor a significant
number of functions/
tasks simultaneously
Excellent written and
presentation skills,
strong persuasive
skills, and an ability
to gain consensus
Ability to coach and
mentor partner sales
team members to
sell our services
Ability to manage
customer
expectations
throughout a
complex sales and
delivery process
Excellent time
management,
decision making, and
organizational skills,
along
with the ability to
work effectively
under pressure
Good working
knowledge of
Microsoft desktop
applications (Word,
Excel,
PowerPoint, and
Outlook), CRM
applications, and
internet navigation
A valid driver’s
license
The ability to travel
regularly (two or
more weeks per
month) across the
U.S. and Canada.
