Scotiabank International Banking Retail Risk Management team is seeking two Sr. Managers to join its team. You will be responsible for reducing delinquencies and ultimately losses across International Banking sites by implementing, analyzing and managing science-based collections strategies in TRIAD that optimize cost to collect, dollars collected and collection efficiencies.   You will leverage your strong collaboration and influencing skills to work effectively with multifaceted teams based in Toronto, Caribbean and Latin American countries to ensure effective execution of your strategies. Working very closely with the country Credit Risk departments, Collections Operations centres, Systems, and others, you will: ·         Monitor, assess and evaluate various account management strategies as well as overall portfolio performance. Through various dimensions of analysis, work closely with business partners in Toronto and other countries to develop actionable tactical recommendations to enhance program effectiveness and profitability ·         Design and develop portfolio segmentations for the purpose of optimization of cost to collect and credit risk using sophisticated data mining techniques. This includes identifying opportunities for better management of existing strategies and processes for collections. ·         Provide strategic consulting and influence to countries running TRIAD strategies.  Ensure strategies are optimally profitable. ·         Manage projects and initiatives relative to TRIAD.  This includes the review of requirements document and liaising with the appropriate groups (collections, product, policy, retail support and operations) to effect smooth and correct implementation. Manage the audit/review of model, policy and strategy implementations.  Consult with the appropriate groups on scoring issues during the development of all Portfolio Management initiatives. ·         Design and develop customer risk management test strategies (Champion/Challenger)/models and provide counsel on the technical capabilities (i.e. structure) of TRIAD and the necessary data/information to support the rationale and benefits. ·         Implement and test strategies on the respective account management platform (TRIAD). Validate existing account and customer risk/predictive models to ensure that measures are in place for appropriate and profitable treatment of customers while effectively managing credit risk. ·         Deliver on analytical projects that provide actionable insights to improve portfolio management. Analytical Projects could include; customer segmentation development and monitoring, strategy performance assessment, as well as loss and delinquency performance analysis ·         Participate in the audit/review of policy and strategy implementations and perform the necessary analysis to make sound recommendations for cut-off and strategy selections. Competencies ·         Strong knowledge in designing strategies for account and customer management. ·         Strong knowledge in the use and development of behaviour scores, custom scores, credit bureau scores, marketing models (attrition/retention) and their respective validation process. ·         Strong knowledge of TRIAD or similar account management. ·         Strong knowledge in the use of SAS/EnterpriseMiner or similar statistical software including the ability to apply advanced statistical techniques. ·         Project management skills to prioritize, manage and implement a variety of competing initiatives, on a concurrent or staggered basis. ·         Strong financial skills complemented with solid deductive reasoning, sound judgement and creativity. ·         Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written. ·         Strong ability to communicate and influence.
