Information Security Sales Specialist Location: Vancouver, B.C. Summary Reporting to a Regional Director, the Information Security Sales Specialist will be responsible for selling and growing the market for our company’s Managed Security Services (MSS), consulting services, and product solutions. A position located in Vancouver is currently available for the AB/BC markets. Key ResponsibilitiesAchie ves maximum sales growth, profitability, and account penetration in the assigned territory through effective selling of our company’s MSS, information security consulting services, and product solutions Contacts and secures new business accounts/customers Promotes/sells/secur es orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach Establishes, develops, and maintains business relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned territory to generate new business for our organization's MSS, consulting services, and solutions Makes telephone calls, in-person visits, and presentations to existing and prospective customers Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints to our proper company business channel Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics, and technical service groups Arranges product and service demonstrations for existing/potential customers, where appropriate and required, and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs Analyzes the territory/market’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers’ value to the organization Creates and manages a customer value plan for existing customers, highlighting profile, share, and value opportunities Identifies the advantages of our company’s MSS, consulting services, and solutions Plans and organizes a personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the territory Maintains data on customer calls, providing weekly activity and pipeline report updates Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, and interests, as well as competitive activities and potential for new products/services Keeps abreast of information security services, technology applications, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends via pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas Participates in trade shows and conventions Required Qualifications5+ years sales and account management experience Strong knowledge of selling services and integrated product solutions in the IT industry Excellent written and presentation skills, including ability to communicate effectively with senior level executives Strong persuasive skills and ability to gain consensus Ability to consult with customers at a business level, translating and communicating strategic opportunities into requirements Ability to facilitate solutions in a complex technology and business environment Good working knowledge of Microsoft desktop applications: Word/Excel/PowerPoi nt Ability to manage customer expectations throughout a complex sales and delivery process Strong decision making skills Excellent time management and organizational skills, along with the ability to work effectively under pressure A valid driver’s license Ability to travel regularly (one week/month) to other areas of Canada Qualifications Considered an AssetBackground in selling services/solutions in Oil & Gas and Government Federal Security Clearance CISSP certification and/or other information security training Other technical skills (e.g., Microsoft, UNIX, and networking knowledge) Qualified candidates are invited to apply with their resume, with references and a covering letter Only candidates being considered for the role will be contacted.
