Main purpose of the position To configure, support and maintain Afilias? custom-built software in pre-production and production environments. Work with members of Operations, Development and Quality Assurance departments to plan, schedule and promote changes to production systems. Key responsibilities: Perform system administration tasks in a third-party hosted environment with a focus on maintaining Afilias' production software (e.g. install software, trouble shoot system problems to effective resolution) Support of all Afilias' production software, including registry and ancillary systems (e.g. billing, reporting, etc.) Investigate, evaluate and recommend new technologies which may include interacting with vendors and external clients Assist in the training of new Application Support Administrators Act as third level support for customer problems (on call after-hours) Create software and processes to meet company needs by designing, developing, testing and implementing of utilities or source modifications Represent the department or company in internal and external projects, providing technical guidance and expertise Work with the 3rd party hosting provider as it relates to system and application layer changes Provide disaster recovery planning and execution Establish and follow procedures for installing software in hosted and co-located environments Ensure adequate documentation is available for production systems Receive software from QA group Configure, deploy and test production software releases and assist other Operations teams with design, deployment and support of existing and new infrastructure Assist QA/Dev teams with installation and setup issues .aioe{position:absolute;clip:rect(471px,auto,auto,471px);} Apply here payday loans
