Essential Functions: - Work on implementation and verification of systems/subsystems - Responsible for providing support in development and testing activities of other engineers that involve several inter-dependencies - Coding - Designing - Testing and/or Unit Testing - Test automation - Debugging - Reliability - Performance analysis - Critical and/or high visibility customer support - Provide team and project technical leadership - Participate in technical discussions within the team and with other groups within Business Units associated with specified projects - Willing to work on additional tasks and responsibilities that will contribute towards team, department and company goals - Provide guidance and mentoring to more junior engineers Requirements: -Highly proficient in C++, boost, and OO design -Highly proficient in a Linux environment -Experience with multithreading and/or network programming -Experience with HTTP and RESTful interfaces -Experience with MySQL and SQL optimization -Experience with distributed systems -Experience with Agile, TDD, and continuous integration Education & Experience: - A minimum of 8 years of experience is required. 9 to 11 years of experience is preferred - A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, a Master Degree, or a PhD; or equivalent experience is required - Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects - Familiar with enterprise IT and object/cloud storage - Bonus - Experience with software in IT appliances or embedded system NetApp creates innovative storage and data management solutions that help accelerate business breakthroughs and deliver outstanding cost efficiency.
