First Data. Beyond the Transaction. Installs, maintains and assists in the design of the enterprise network to meet the functional objectives of the business. Evaluates, tests and integrates new networking technologies. Assists in the design and implementation of new connectivity.   Participates in developing Firewall and other internet security features.   Works with other IT professionals on the network infrastructure, and the planning and design of enterprise local-area/wide-area network (LAN/WAN) solutions Basic to moderate knowledge of distributed networks, related hardware and software components, Avaya VoIP telecommunications, Cisco network and design architecture, bridges, routers, gateways, transport media such as COAX, or FIBER using TCP/IP, IPX/SPX and SNA transport protocols, or SONET, Ethernet, ATM, Token Ring, Frame Relay or MPLS    transport technologies .      Basic to moderate knowledge of how the technology influences business strategic direction enabling definition and integration of technical plans supporting the enterprise business functions and processes.   Associate’s Degree or Two+ years of related IT experience Must demonstrate effective communication skills, written and verbal.   Frequent contact with employees at all levels of the company.
