Team Lead, Software Development and Integration VERNON BC      PERMANENT POSITION   You will be responsible for leading the Team and providing technical leadership, mentorship and day-to-day coordination of system development and integration activities. As a key participant in the development, implementation and evolution of the Enterprise Architecture, you will be defining and implementing systems development and integration processes, practices and toolset standards. Responsibilities   Leads and mentors the Systems Development and Integration Team Plans and coordinates all systems development and integration activities Supervises and leads the work of Analysts, Developers and other IS personnel and contractors as   required     Provides technical direction and leadership     Implements processes for appropriate support of system integrations and custom built software systems     Defines and implements the processes, toolkits and templates required for custom integration and system development including source code management, integration design, systems design, development, unit testing, integration testing and functional testing     Ensures systems are architected to be flexible, scalable, re-useable, interoperable and maintainable     Provides regular status and resource updates     Evaluates technology strategies and makes recommendations regarding investment in technology     Provides application development and middleware/integration consulting to other groups     Authors detailed design and technical documentation including systems designs, recommendations and white papers     Assists in the recruiting, hiring and training of SDI Team Members   Required Qualifications       Post-secondary graduate with a degree, diploma or certificate in computer science or equivalent combination of education, training and experience     5 or more years’ experience leading technology teams of up to 10 people     8 or more years’ experience working in software development for medium to large enterprises with complex technology environments     Experience providing technical leadership in the following areas:         System integration in a multi-vendor environment         Design of integration architectures and interfaces and the definition of integration standards and guidelines         Deployment and build management     Experience coordinating multiple concurrent technology projects and support activities     Expert knowledge of a broad range of development processes, techniques, tools and standards in an enterprise environment     Working knowledge of Java, JMS Messaging, Spring Framework and preferably OpenEdge     Sound understanding of Apache Camel Mediation Framework, Groovy,  Domain Specific Language     Preferred knowledge of principles of plug-in architectures and enterprise integration patterns     Proven ability to define and implement new development processes and methodologies     Excellent written and verbal communication skills     Occasional travel required     Evening and occasional weekend work required     Must have own transportation and a valid BC driver’s license   Relocation       Suitable relocation assistance will be provided.
