Job Summary The Enterprise Platform Lead is responsible for leading the team of Unix, Storage and Backup administrators who build and maintain the hardware and software for the key business applications for FGL Sports. This individual is responsible for providing a technology framework for all core Unix, Storage solutions and all new business applications being deployed at FGL Sports. The Enterprise Platform Lead is the in-house specialist for AIX, Netapp and Commvault Simpana 9. Responsibilities • Lead the team of Unix, Storage and Backup administrators to provide a high level of service and support for a rapidly growing company. • Mentor systems administrators providing both technical and managerial support. • Must be a solid communicator and have proven leadership experience. • Consults with senior technical professionals internally and with external vendors to develop plans, estimates and methodology for infrastructure projects. • Provides technical leadership for all systems architecture and technology changes within the Enterprise infrastructure group on all topics related to his/her subject matter expertise. ( AIX, Netapp and Commvault ) • Develops storage and retention policies in conjunction with Storage SME , Infrastructure Architect, and IT Management. • Responsible for tools and processes to maintain and enhance the availability and reliability of the Enterprise Systems under their control. • Develop reports and performance metrics to determine growth rates of server and storage systems. • Develops training plans for members of his/her team • Work with the Senior Manager on performance evaluations of their team • Ensures delivery and uptime of all present production applications, as well as all future migrations to Enterprise Platform (AIX) • Provides all release support for Enterprise Systems (AIX and Backup/Recovery/Storage) as well as Creating and maintaining logs associated with production changes to the equipment associated with the area. Required Skills and Experience • 10+ years industry experience with broad Enterprise Systems knowledge and AIX, Netapp and Commvault expertise. • AIX, Netapp Storage, Backup, Recovery, solid understanding of large enterprise technologies Desired behaviors • Builds Trust and Credibility by consistently adhering to the organization’s business principles and values.
