Jetcom Inc. was founded in 1986. Initially the company was a national equipment distributor for the satellite communications industry and then a satellite-programming supplier since 1992. Jetcom Communications Inc. became a wholly owned subsidiary of Jetcom Inc. when the company began publicly trading in 1996 on the Canadian Dealers Network under the symbol JTCM. Jetcom Inc. secured public listing status through reverse takeover of Seaway Base Metals Ltd. during late 1995. Jetcom Inc. anticipates being listed on the Canadian Ventures Exchange during the first half 2000 as consolidation of the over-the-counter exchanges in Canada continues.
Today the company is focused on two strategic initiatives:
- Providing specialty hosting services and proprietary ‘user maintained’ e-commerce applications to inventory intensive small and medium-sized enterprises.
- Delivering satellite programming services and related products to consumers and businesses.
Jetcom Inc. will continue to further develop their e-commerce application and hosting solutions business. Seeking out inventory intensive small and medium size enterprises that would benefit from the use of these unique applications and solutions, while growing our satellite programming services and wholesale products distribution businesses.
