Using TimeControl, Microsoft Project and SharePoint to create an Enterprise Project Management Environment
HMS Software has released a new solution area for the use of TimeControl with Microsoft Project Standard/Professional and SharePoint. The area is called "Using TimeControl, MS Project and SharePoint to create an enterprise project management environment.
While TimeControl links with Microsoft's Project Server, there are over 20 million users of Microsoft Project, desktop project scheduling system. This is by far the most popular desktop project management software on the market today. Microsoft is also experiencing tremendous success with its SharePoint collaboration software with over 100 million users so far. This has prompted many organizations to attempt to create an enterprise project management environment with these tools which have been already accepted by their users. There is, however, a missing element: "time".This new solution area on the timecontrol.com website will showcase how TimeControl's links to Microsoft Project and its ability to be installed right into SharePoint can complete the functionality required for this kind of project management environment made of best-of-breed tools.
