MEDePass, Inc. and Certicom to Provide Digital IDs for Physicians Enabling the Secure Exchange of Confidential Patient Information from the Desktop to Mobile Devices
SAN FRANCISCO and HAYWARD, CA, June 13 - MEDePass, Inc., a
privately held California corporation, today announced that it has selected
Certicom (NASDAQ: CERT; TSE: CIC) to be its exclusive security solutions
provider. MEDePass, Inc. will use Certicom's MobileTrust managed Certificate
Services to manufacture MEDePass Certificates(SM) for physicians and their
staff to enable the secure, authenticated electronic exchange of confidential
healthcare information. A MEDePass Certificate authenticates a physician's
electronic identity, providing verification of his or her professional and

handheld devices in healthcare and the mobility of physicians in their daily

Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) security regulations, provide proof

MEDePass, Inc. issues MEDePass Certificates in partnership with state
