Tenrox Leverages Microsoft SharePoint For

Tenrox, the Integrated Operational Control and Compliance Software Company, today announced the release of Tenrox Document Management (Tenrox DM) built on the Microsoft Office SharePoint products and technologies platform.

Tenrox DM is a SharePoint document management software that facilitates collaboration within an organization on project documents, employee files, financial transactions, purchases, helpdesk issues, and other document intensive processes. Information workers can create, manage, view, and edit SharePoint and version controlled documents directly inside the Tenrox Web interface. Documents can be associated to users, projects, and clients as well as to timesheets, expense reports, requisitions, invoices, and other work processes such as project proposal and project risks/issues. With Tenrox DM there is dramatic change in how documents are managed: from navigating complex SharePoint file folder hierarchies to having files organized by - and linked to - the company’s Organizational Breakdown Structure OBS, its Work Breakdown Structure WBS or its work processes, resulting in immediate access to documents based on current tasks and action items.

In addition to check-in/check-out and version control, customers also gain Tenrox document change management capabilities such as document change audit trail, and organization and work structure based search/filtering capabilities. The combination of Tenrox DM and Tenrox workflow modules provides a process driven and audited document approval and routing system. Tenrox supports both the Windows SharePoint Services and SharePoint Portal Server.

Tenrox DM will be available as part of the Tenrox 8.5 release which is scheduled for mid July 2005.
