Next-Gen Service Provider Elitel Selects Mediatrix to Deploy VOIP Services in Italy

Mediatrix consolidates its market share in Italy while allowing Elitel

selected Mediatrix to help them expand Elitel Futura's broadband
telephone service into the residential and SOHO markets and increase
VOIP adoption by large businesses. Elitel will be integrating Mediatrix VoIP Residential 2102 access device
into its solutions allowing its residential subscribers to benefit from
both broadband capabilities and VoIP technology while using their
regular analog phones. The Mediatrix gateways integrated into Elitel Futura Light residential
package will enable users to simultaneously place phone calls, send and
receive faxes, and surf the web while using one single broadband
connection. In addition, the Mediatrix residential gateway is very easy
to install, auto-configurable and auto-upgradeable. In addition, Elitel will be introducing in 2005 Mediatrix IDSN digital
gateways for the enterprise market to connect traditional PBX to the IP
network. This way, large companies can benefit from a smooth migration
path to IP without having to discard their existing equipment while
achieving substantial savings. Elitel Futura's highly flexible solutions
allow its multi-site enterprise customers to benefit from a modular
approach to Internet telephony, and move to hybrid systems by
