Plaintree Systems' quarterly loss widens to $423,199 from $229,272

OTTAWA (CP) - Wireless specialist Plaintree Systems Inc. says its first-quarter loss widened to $423,199 from $229,272 as product revenue declined.

Product revenue sank to $87,839 from $121,563, although additional revenue from a partnership investment added $189,754. The loss per share was zero cents in each quarter, the Ottawa-based firm reported.

On the Toronto stock market early Friday, Plaintree shares (TSX:LAN) were unchanged at 10 cents.
