Help For Private Firms Seeking Capital

The principals at Xito believe the business landscape offers significant return potential for investors who are willing to invest privately. The key is to restore investor confidence. Investing privately through a limited partnership fund allows a degree of oversight and control that does not exist in the public capital markets where individual investors hold such a small position that management of some firms take liberties resulting in fraudulent activities which remain undetected, until it is too late.

“Xito looks for a first-rate management team with integrity, a defensible market position, a realistic assessment of the market opportunity and a plan to execute which is achievable.” states Andrew Apedoe of Xito’s strategy when choosing to work with a client.

In recent years, the struggles of notable public companies have been well documented. “A lot of capital intensive, poorly managed ventures were funded and sold to unsophisticated investors by advisors more interested in their trading commission than the ability of the business to make a profit.”

“For our potential investors, it's critical they understand that their capital is valued and their faith in us is a responsibility we take seriously,” says Apedoe. “Our primary objective is to make money for our limited partners and making money is hard work, it takes patience to be rewarded.”

Xito will be hosting an investor forum showcasing three Alberta-based companies at the Calgary Chamber of Commerce at 12:00 noon on February 24th, 2003 located at 517 Centre Street South. Pre-registration is required to attend.
